I will introduce many guided tours in English based on my trips around Japan. Most of international tourists visit the Golden route which is the western area of Japan such as Tokyo, Hakone, Kamakura, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Kyushu area. But there are many wonderful tourist attractions in the northern area, too. Tochigi prefecture and the Tohoku area. They are rich in national beauty and historic attractions. I will show you many guided tours one by one by walking, cycling, backpacking, etc. First of all I'm going to introduce places in Tochigi prefecture.
Tochigi prefecture where I live has a lot of tourist attractions you would like to visit such as mountain and lake resorts, hot-spring resort, back packing and hiking sites, historical and cultural sites, and some theme parks. They are located in the site of Nikko National Park. It will take about one hour and forty minutes from Tokyo to Nikko by train. If you have only one free day I would say to "come" to Nikko. You may experience Japanese history, culture, and Ryokan which is a traditional Japanese inn with the interior designed in the traditional Japanese style and colorful arranged delicious meals, if you have more than one day, you can enjoy as long as you want to stay without boring. From the next page, I introduce some model guided tours other than Nikko for you. If you are interested in them, or have some questions, please do not hesitate to send me questions through an inquiry in the last page of this home page.
